Youth Career Development

ARE’s youth career development programs are designed to assist our young people between the ages of 14-21 years of age in the exploration of their future life goals.  We provide workforce development training to high school students.  We focus on soft skills, career exploration, secondary education and basic life skills. We provide internship opportunities where appropriate and unsubsidized job opportunities. We also provide onsite internship opportunities for young people in the MBSYEP annually.

DC Futures Program

The DC Futures Program (DC Futures) aims to help DC college students complete their first associate or bachelor’s degree by providing a last-dollar scholarship (tuition, fees, and cost of attendance) at three local universities in addition to college coaching and support services that will address personal and financial barriers to completion for all participants. This may completely cover the financial need for some participants making the cost of college “free”.
